Hair and Make up for the production

This is a quick spider diagram I did when thinking of ideas for the hair and make-up I would use in my thriller. I also wrote the Costume choice as well.

all of this make up is subtle and doesn't stand out very much. I want to use subtle make up so that the character can still have that innocence about her, which emphasizes how awful this possession from her shoes really is.  Having very subtle make up also stops it giving any other connotations that are not necessary, for example if she was to have bright red lips, or very bold eyes, her character could look as if she is supposed to be seductive but she isn't at all.

Both of my sisters have warn this make up before, and I have done a patch test on them recently just to make sure that there is no health and safety issue with wearing the make up. Both of them are fine with it and have no allergies so wearing this make up is absolutely fine.

The girls hair will be in a pony tail, because it is simple for both of them to have, it is also out of the way of their faces during the film (it may be a windy day, also if it is in their face then the emotion or close ups will not be as clear).

  1. Alaska - your blog is looking great - there's some fantastic work here - and a real sense of enthusiasm for your idea. I'm really looking forward to seeing how it progresses!

Look at your feedback sheet for my comments: you mainly need to add a post showing your understanding of the technical / narrative conventions used in the opening few minutes of a thriller.

As you progress with your planning, keep justifying your decisions and link them back to the ideas of the ingredients needed for an effective opening.

    Well done!!!
