The new location is going to be in Rippingale, I am using a family friends house as it has quite an eerie feel to it, and is old and grand but not over the top like Belton House. Their Garden and yard is also quite run down which will give me fantastic shots for the opening establishing shots. The drive way of the house is quite cramped, full of tree's and is down the side of the Graveyard which will bring a good effect to the film and fitting with the thriller genre.
For the second Location I will use the outside of Matilda's Hut (a small shop in Rippingale), This is a good location as it is quite an isolated little place, it isn't too big and looks like a little cabin in the woods which would get the audience asking questions as to why the girl is there. I know that I will be able to film there as it is a family friends shop, and also I work there.
For the third location I will use the bedroom of a family friends house, it is a girls bedroom so obviously fits the gender that I am using. The room is in an Old house, and has an old, vintage style to it.
When I film the girl walking down to the hut I will use the streets of Rippingale, it is only a short distance between location 1 and 2, and the graveyard would be behind her in the shot for most of it which is brilliant because it would keep the creepy effect going and fits in the thriller genre as part of the setting. Also having the graveyard in part of the shot could suggest that the film may involve death. The streets are never busy in Rippingale so that will be no problem, I just need to watch and make sure that there are no cars for that scene as this can be unpredictable.
The locations that I have chosen fit with the typical thriller conventions because they are both quite isolated
