Into the nightmare - titles

In my production I wanted to involve my titles and make them as creative as I could in the film. The titles are clear, yet fit with the conventions of type of thriller that it is - giving hints to what could happen if it was a real film (the blood).

The titles will appear in different ways, spread evenly throughout the film to make the film more continuous. They will appear in ways like setting on fire/burning and being underneath a pile of leaves.

The titles are black and white- making them mysterious which is key in the conventions of a thriller. The only colour on there is red, which reflects both to the blood and the shoes - also connotes the danger and anger, what could happen in the rest of the film? The lettering on the titles is mixture of capitals and lower case letters, this reflects on the distortion and strange mentality of the film - as most people would just write in either lower case or capital letters. The tops of the ripped paper has been left on the titles, to keep them looking messed up, like the girls mentality and situation.
For my title, I will cover it in leaves and film them blowing off. I have chosen to do this because it will allow my title to plend in with the location. It was important that I blended it in with the location, as I was not a character in the film so I thought my title should blend in and become part of the film rather than stand out.

For Josies title, I will cover it in Feathers and blow them off. I intend to use feathers because feathers are connotations of purity and innocence. Josie played the girl when she was younger and her life was innocent. The feathers will blow away quickly reflecting on how quickly her life changed.

For Mae's title, I will have her standing ontop of it, covering up her name and face. She will keep tapping her feet and moving them apart in order to show her name and photograph. Her tapping her feet over the title, creates a strong link between the character and title.

For the "Into the Nightmare" title, I intend to put it behind a window and smash the window. I would like to do this becayse it reflets on the way that her nightmare, and psychological distress has smashed into her life.
