The age range between the two girls is clear as well which helps portray how time has passed. I will do both of their hairstyles in the same way and they will wear the same clothing just to put more stress on who they are and how nothing has changed, apart from their ages which starts to hint to the possession of the shoes. Mae's hair is longer than Josie's as well so this will also add to the aged affect of the girls.
Actor - Josie Morrison
Using Josie as an actor will be easy as she is also my sister so there will be no problems with having to get hold of her at the time and I know when she will be free and available to shoot the film.
Actor - Mae Morrison
Mae will be the older version of the girl, and will appear in the majority of the film. Using Mae will work well as it will show the time that has passed from when she was younger (as Josie) to her age now. She is also only 14 so does not look like an adult, this fits in well with the story as she still lives at home, being spoilt by her rich adoptive mother. This actor will appear in the mirror after panning down from her younger self, and then will carry on being the character for the rest of the film.As she is also my sister, using her as an actor will be very convenient as I always have contact with her and know when she has the time to shoot for the film.
Actor - Stuart
Stuart will be the executioner, and will only appear in the scene where the girl goes to the window of the executioners hut. Stuart is very tall and slim, which is a typical convention for the "bad character" he also has a scruffy beard (He said he would keep it until i had filmed) which makes him looks rugged and and not so clean which puts a bad vibe on his character setting the scene. He only turns around, and is seen for a moment, introducing a new character (in a mysterious way) at the end of my opening will get the audience asking questions as to who he is and what will happen next.
